During the practice at
Studio Santa Maria I have performed research
on all aspects of International Law and European
law, including Competition Law, as well as on
corporate transactions, including acquisitions
and dispositions, joint ventures, and restructurings.
I also assisted several
clients, under the supervision of a Senior Counsel,
in connection with their domestic and international
expansion, negotiating joint venture, acquisition
and other commercial agreements with counterparties
based in Italy and in foreign jurisdictions.
In addition, I have
been involved in several multi-jurisdictional
litigations, acting as liaison in the defense
of a number of Italian clients from individual
and class actions brought against them in the
United States and the United Kingdom.
Finally, I have been
involved in a number of claims against the Ministry
of Treasure in connection with the violations
of the Currency regulations.
More recently, on behalf
of a US corporation, I assisted a Senior Counsel
of the Firm in the leasing of the assets of
an Italian company in bankruptcy.
During recent years
at the Firm, I achieved a deep knowledge on
Information Technology. By this way, I have
performed several research, providing to both
Italian and Foreign clients written opinion
on i) e-commerce, ii) e-business, iii) Privacy,
iv) Software and databases protection, and v)
Domain Names.
Since 2003, I am assisting,
as general counsel, a leading UK insurer operating
in Italy, in a € 15 Million loss providing day
by day interim memorandum and legal opinion
in connection with the claimed payment of the
indemnity.
Finally, I assisted
a leading Italian company operating in the market
research industry in the negotiation of the
share purchase agreement with the UK purchaser
and assisting the client on all matters relevant
to data protection and market research regulations
compliance, also by providing seminars to the
key employees.

Intellectual Property law by offering a full-service
that covers all aspects of intellectual property
law - patents, trademarks, design, copyrights,
trade secrets, technology transfer, unfair competition
and false advertising, Internet and new media.
Thereby, I provide litigation, assistance to
registration and prosecution, counseling, and
help to acquire, value, maintain, protect and
exploit all forms of intellectual property,
advising on a full range of counseling, and
dispute resolution matters, including multi-jurisdictional
IP litigation and licensing arrangements.
My technical expertise and industry insight
ensure that I always focus on the commercial
goals and objectives of the client. My industry
experience includes pharmaceuticals, jewelry,
sportswear and mechanical equipments.
I have particular expertise in complex patent
litigation and I offer full counseling on all
aspects of licensing, managing and protecting
patents and settlement negotiations.
At the Firm, I have been involved in the negotiation
and drafting of several patent/trademark license
agreements, transfer of technologies, distribution
agreements and secrecy agreements.
More recently, I am assisting as general counsel
two leading Italian based companies in the jewelry
industry both on general corporate matters and
specifically on Intellectual Property matters,
including drafting of secrecy agreements, letters
of intents, negotiation and drafting of distribution
agreements with foreign companies, including
in the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, PRC
and Indonesia.
Moreover, I have been involved in the acquisitions
of an Italian trademark, in the prosecution,
litigation and settlement connected to infringements
of registered design, patents and unfair competition
both in the United States, in Portugal, and
the United Arab Emirates, providing the relevant
assistance in domestic IP litigation and criminal
seizure.
Finally, I assist the clients with opinion on
false advertising relevant to their advertising
campaign.
